The RC Celta youth teams are enjoying these days a particularly enriching and rewarding cultural activity, framed in the philosophy of the Celta Foundation to form, in the Celta youth categories, people and not only players. The canteranos are experiencing guided visits to the active exhibitions at the Museo do Mar de Galicia, including, of course, the one held to mark the Centenary of the club: ‘100 anos de RC Celta: Gol e Arte’.
A dozen teams of the RC Celta quarry participated in this initiative that has allowed them to enjoy the permanent exhibitions of the Museo do Mar, among them, ‘Camiños por mar a Compostela’, ’25 Centuries of oceanography’, ‘The sperm whale of Sanxenxo. History of a stranding’, ‘The cabinet of scientific curiosities’, ‘The conquest of the underwater world’ or ‘Ships in miniature’.
The canteranos showed a great interest in these exhibitions and especially in the exhibition ‘100 anos de RC Celta: Gol e Arte”, formed by about thirty works, belonging to the funds of the Celta Foundation, of great Galician painters such as Laxeiro, Pedro Solveira, Antón Pulido, Xaime Quesada, Leopoldo Varela, Lodeiro or Antonio Quesada, among others.
The great reception that this exhibition has received since its inauguration at the Museo do Mar led to the extension of the exhibition until 19 March so that citizens and RC Celta fans can enjoy this exclusive selection of works.
The exhibition will remain open to the public until 19 March from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00 and on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00.
