The Centenary will experience a special episode this Sunday. Celta Zorka Recalvi and RC Celta will commemorate the 100 years of life of the latter in the match in which the women’s basketball team will play against Joventut de Badalona (Navia Pavilion, 12.30 p.m.).
The heads of both clubs, Carlos Mouriño and Carlos Álvarez, held a meeting today at A Sede to finalise the numerous actions that will be carried out to commemorate the Centenary in the match against the Catalan side, who are level on points with Celta Zorka Recalvi in the standings.
The Centenary of RC Celta will be very present from before the start of the match. The Celta women’s players will wear special Centenary t-shirts during the warm-up and the initial formation, as well as the coaching staff. The commemorative poster of this unique event will be displayed in the central circle and there will also be a banner on one of the sides of the pavilion alluding to the event. Before kick-off, the host club will present RC Celta with a commemorative plaque.
The kids attending the match will receive a free Celtic Centenary scarf, while the RC Celta first team bus, adorned with the club’s Centenary branding, will be parked outside the pavilion from first thing in the morning.
Finally, all those fans wearing an official RC Celta t-shirt or clothing will be able to access the pavilion free of charge.
The president of RC Celta, Carlos Mouriño, and several members of the board of directors will attend the match together with the leaders of Celta femenino.
